All-New Ford GT Supercar!
Designed to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ford GT racing cars, the new Ford GT supercar has been spotted testing on the roads.
With a striking design and sleek body-styling with lightweight materials, Ford promises that the GT will produce more than 600bhp, challenging the world’s most prominent supercar manufacturers, such as Ferrari, Lamborghini and McLaren.
The new supercar is powered by Ford’s next-generation twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine, paired to a seven-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox.
Ford’s CEO and president, Mark Fields, stated that the new GT is “… a showcase for all our latest technology, including EcoBoost performance and aerodynamics.”
The interior of the new supercar is clearly race-influenced with an ultra-contemporary two-seat cockpit cabin, scissors doors, and an F1-style steering wheel.
To preserve its exclusivity, the new GT will be built in limited numbers of around 250 a year. First deliveries are expected at the end of 2016 and although Ford hasn’t revealed a price tag yet, it’s is expected that the new supercar will cost around £250,000.
