First look at the new Bentley Mulsanne

Bentley’s new Mulsanne will introduce an expanded range, including new Speed and Extended Wheelbase variants. The range-topping luxury car has been given restyling and tech updates, making it more modern, luxurious and faster than ever before.

There’s a new grille design, revised front and rear bumpers, bonnet, and advanced adaptive all-LED headlamps.  Internally, the cabin is kitted out with plush wood and metal detailing, with a choice of 24 leather colours, in single or two-tone. The infotainment system features an 8inch touchscreen, compatible with Apple Carplay, Android Auto and MirrorLink, with a 60GB hard drive. In the rear, there are two detachable android tablets with 4G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, linked to the infotainment and Sat-Nav systems.

Updated chassis technology includes active engine mounts, revised suspension bushes and three different driving modes; Sport, Bentley and Comfort,as well as a ‘Custom’ setting. The standard Mulsanne’s engine remains unchanged, with a 505bhp 6.75-litre V8, delivering 0-60mph in 5.1 seconds and a top speed of 184mph.

The Mulsanne Speed, delivers an impressive 530bhp, 811lb ft of torque, 0-60mph in 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 190mph. It comes with a dark-tinted finish, unique 21-inch alloy wheels, alloy pedals, sports bumpers and exhausts. The Extended wheelbase model will offer two different seating options; 6 seated and a luxury 4 seat variant. It is focused around the comfort of the rear passenger, with an extra 250mm of leg room, leg rests, its own sunroof and consoles.

The price for all there models will be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show, and can be expected to exceed £230,000, with a premium added for the Sports and Extended Wheelbase variants.
