Pagani announce limited-run 800bhp Huayra BC

Pagani has unveiled an extreme ‘BC’ edition of the Huayra supercar, named for the company’s first ever customer, Benny Caiola.

The BC is a hardcore supercar – lighter, more powerful and focused on pure performance to compete with the likes of the LaFerrari and P1.  The car’s bodywork is unique to the BC, making it distinct from the standard model, and features a large fixed rear wing and front splitter, revised chassis and new active aerodynamics.

Power comes from the same Mercedes-AMG 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 engine, however output is increased to 800bhp at 6200rpm with 811lb ft of torque.  The BC sprints from 0-62mph in a blistering 2.8 seconds, reaching an estimated top speed of 220mph.  The rear wheel drive is connected through a new XTrac 7-speed transverse gearbox with new electro-hydraulic actuation and carbon fibre synchronisers.

The BC is 132Kg lighter than the standard car; weight has been saved with a new titanium quad exhaust system and bespoke Brembo carbon ceramic brakes.  The suspension has been redesigned, reducing its weight by 25% and adding strength, with four-way adjustable Öhlins dampers for a more responsive drive.  Aerodynamics and downforce have been improved, with Dallara’s assistance, and there’s a new rear e-diff, vents and electronic changes.

Aesthetically, the BC, is finished in an eye-catching combination of red leather, anthracite suede, carbon fibre and gloss black highlights.  Priced at €2.35 million, all 20 limited edition BC’s have now been sold.
