Covers Are Off for the All-New Jaguar F-Pace!
The first Jaguar SUV, the F-Pace, has finally been unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
The much anticipated reveal was accompanied by a record-breaking publicity stunt, with an F-Pace achieving a Guinness world record for the largest ever loop-the-loop achieved by a car.
The F-Pace, driven by the British stunt driver Terry Grant, demonstrated exceptional performance, agility and strength as it completed the giant 19.08 metre tall loop.
The new SUV comes with a choice of three engines, headed by a supercharged 3-litre V6 petrol that produces 375bhp at 6500rpm and 332lb ft of torque at 4500rpm. Jaguar claims that the F-Pace can accelerate from 0-62mph in 5.5secs, reaching a top speed of 155mph.
Four model lines will also be offered from launch, the Prestige, the R-Sport, the Portfolio and the S. The ‘First Edition’ will be a limited run of just 200 units worldwide and will only be available during the first year of production. At a price tag of £65,275, it gets the 3.0 V6 diesel engine and features unique Caesium Blue paint, a panoramic roof and several extras such as Jaguar’s adaptive dynamic chassis and adaptive LED headlights.
Ian Callum, Jaguar’s Director of Design described the F-Pace as an SUV with “the soul of a sports car” and he added that this is “… for people who love driving, who love design and who love technology – this is the ultimate practical sports car.”
The Jaguar F-Pace will reach UK showrooms in April 2016 with prices starting from £34,170.
