BAC Mono now features a roomier cockpit

British manufacturer, BAC, has modified the design of its Mono supercar to offer drivers a more roomy cockpit.

Styled to look and feel like a formula racing car, the lightweight Mono has been growing in popularity across the globe, and has been updated to appeal to a wider audience.  The cockpit width has been increased by 56mm through a redesigned tubular steel chassis that maintains the car’s aerodynamic performance.

In spite of the updates, BAC’s thrill machine still weighs in at 580kg, with the same exterior dimensions.  The road legal track car retains the same 305bhp four-cylinder 2.5-litre Mountune engine, propelling it from 0-60mph in 2.8 seconds, before powering on to a top speed of 170mph.

The new BAC Mono goes on sale this summer, with a price tag of £120,000 plus VAT.
